Before the system arrives, the customer brings utilities to the system area: steam, compressed air, and electricity.
Close up view of the main components on the system. The Separator and the Main Heat Exchanger work together to vaporize the spent acid. The exchanger heats the incoming acid with hot, recovered acid traveling counter-currently through the exchanger from the end of the process. The Rectifier and Condenser separate the acid, water, and ferrous chloride solution.
The orange tank (purchased locally) is for recovered acid storage, a holding tank before pumping clean acid back to the pickle tanks.
Beta recommends purchasing the cooling tower locally to save on shipping costs and to begin a relationship with the local chiller serviceman.
