Acid Filtration/Rinse Recovery
Beta's resource recovery technology includes high pressure membrane systems that are designed to recover used rinse water or concentrate and filter spent acid. Acid Filtration Systems (AFS) have the benefit of being able to concentrate diluted acid solutions and remove contaminants without a boiler or cooling tower. Acid Filtration Systems also require far less energy and maintenance than competing technologies. Rinse Recovery Systems (RRS) allow plants to reuse contaminated water and are typically used in pickling operations. Adding a Rinse Recovery System to any pickling operation will significantly reduce the amount of water used for spray rinsing. Rinse Recovery Systems produce high quality rinse water that allows for shorter rinse times and higher quality product output. Beta can also provide engineering to help incorporate the Rinse Reocvery system to your specific industry. It is then pressurized and fed through the Beta Membrane system where the stream is separated into a clean Acidic Water / Rinse Water stream and a Contaminants steam. In rinse operations the Contaminants stream is returned to the pickle tank or a Beta Evaporator/HCl Acid Recovery/Sulfuric Acid Recovery System. Single Rinse

The Permeate is discharged to a Water Makeup Tank where it feeds a Booster System to act as new rinse water. The initial spray is Permeate and the following spray is municipal water. Concentrate from the RO System is transferd either to a Concentrate Makeup Tank or back to the Pickle Tank(s). Double Rinse
