To assist companies with their plans for acid recovery, Beta Control Systems has designed several acid recovery, acid filtration and water processing facilities, from small to large. Due to our years of experience in the industry and valuable customer input, we are uniquely qualified to offer optimal designs for this type of facility. The information here presents our Hydrochloric Acid Recovery facility, but we also offer our Sulfuric Acid System in a similar facility..
This flow diagram begins with a truck weighing in empty at the Acid Recovery Facility. The truck picks up a tanker load of spent acid from a customer and weighs back in. Alternatively, the spent acid may be obtained on site. A sample of spent acid is sent to the on-site laboratory. The entire batch is then pumped to a storage tank in the tank farm.
When the facility is ready to process a batch of acid, it is pumped from the storage tank where it has been settling to filter out gross particles. The solution enters our Acid Recovery System where water and acid are recovered. The ferrous chloride, removed as a slurry, is concentrated into crystal form and trucked to various markets.
